Famous Cloyne people in History
Cloyne has been associated with many famous people including:
George Berkeley, the celebrated philosopher, who proposed an alternative basis of understanding to the material-based outlook of Newton and his followers, stressing the ultimately subjective nature of human reality. While Newton won the day, Berkeley is commemorated by having a Californian University named after him.
