CDCC Committee

The Cloyne Community Council is made up of 24 elected members (12 areas and 2 members from each area) following an election held last October under the auspices of Muintir Na Tíre. The main aim of the Council is the involvement of all the people in Cloyne and it’s environs in the promotion of the educational, cultural and economic and welfare of the whole community. The members will serve for a period of 3 years and full Council meetings are held about once a month



Cloyne Community District Council is a constituent member of Muintir Na Tíre and has adopted a Muintir Na Tíre approved Constitution and is now taking an active role in the future development of the local community here in the Cloyne district.
The Council members look forward to working together with everybody for the mutual benefit of the local people over the coming years. The Council plans to engage with all other local bodies and we hope that we can facilitate a coordinated approach to meet the needs of the local community.
Our constitution allows for the inclusion of up to 10 representatives from other local bodies as nominated representatives or co-options with the right to be involved at Council and Sub-Committee meetings. These have recently joined our Council.
The Council has elected an executive committee comprising: Chairperson, Vice- Chairperson, Secretary, Assistant Secretary, Treasurer, assistant Treasurer, P.R.O. Sub-committee also been established .
